Backpacks4Veterans: Supporting our homeless brothers and sisters with essential supplies. This program will also serve as VFW Post 6418's "Day of Service" in May 2026. Backpacks containing personal items will be available to those in need.
- Scout of The Year: Applications for St. Albans VFW Post 6418 were due to the Post by March 1st, 2026 - See Details under "Programs." The deadline to turn in to the National VFW HQ was April 1st, 2026.

VFW Post 6418 website admins and potential admins should be aware that an online VFW6418 website training class is held every Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m., hosted by the VFW National Webmaster. If you are interested in becoming an "Admin," please let us know. Contact the Commander. We are currently seeking members who wish to get involved in this specialized effort.

Deadline for reserving a room is May 15, 2026.
The District 2 Convention was Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Mason VFW Post 9926 (12 p.m.)
District 2 Officers were elected for the new VFW Administrative Year 2026 - 2027, and
New Bylaws were voted on and approved.
The next District 2 Meeting will be Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Elkview VFW Post 8516 (12 p.m.)
