Subscription dues are just like a magazine subscription. It gives you 365 days of membership in the VFW. With this being the first year that they are coming into effect, it will be a process that we are not used to. The basic breakdown of what is going to happen is:

If you are an annual member and you pay your dues before Jan your expiration will be Jan 2026. If you pay after that date, whatever day your dues are processed at National will be the new expiration date. An example would be that you sent in your dues to National on 1 Feb 2025, and National processed them on 15 Feb. Your new expiration date would be 15 Feb 2026.

Annual membership dues are $35 and are due on the anniversary of the date you joined the VFW
or the date of your yearly renewal.

When you complete your membership application and submit it to Post 6418 Quartermaster, a $35 membership fee for your first year is due. Life memberships are also available, and the fees/dues
vary according to your age at the time of application. 
 
Attend Meetings of VFW Post 6418 on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Meetings begin at 6 pm
The location is 1011 Pennsylvania Ave., St. Albans, West Virginia.

A VFW VA representative is a member of our Department of West Virginia VFW.
However, the best way to get help is to bring this subject up at our meetings under "For the good of the order." VFW Post 6418 has a "Benefits Officer" who can also help.
It is highly recommended that you attend the next meeting. There are always experienced Veterans at VFW Post 6418 who are happy to help.
