BACKPACKS4VETERANS is an ongoing effort by VFW Post 6418, and we’re aiming to collect 100 backpacks. We’d greatly appreciate donations to help purchase them, and new backpacks are just as welcome. Each will be filled with personal items and given to homeless veterans. To donate backpacks or contribute funds, contact the Commander at VFW Post 6418 by phone or text at 304.982.1309 or email vfwriderspost6418wv@gmail.com. We can also pick up personal items in boxes or bags, whether packed or unpacked. Donations are urgently needed, so keep an eye out for announcements on Veterans Stand Downs in 2026. Let’s make sure no veteran is left behind!
