"BACKPACKS4VETERANS" is a Joint Program of VFW Post 6418 and VFW Riders Post 6418. Together, we attended and personally handed out Fifty (50) backpacks filled with Donated Personal Items to Homeless Veterans at a Veterans Stand Down in Charleston, West Virginia, held on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025.  Prior to that event, we had donated Backpacks to the VA Homeless Veteran Outreach in Huntington for distribution to the area's homeless veteran population.  We are working to complete several additional Backpacks to be given out during the 2025 Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.

Donation Boxes are positioned throughout St. Albans, including at City National Bank on 6th Ave., Presbyterian Church on Kanawha Terrace, and St. Albans Dance Studio at 808 B Street, 2nd Floor.
