ST. ALBANS. A new merchant mall opened in St. Albans after a ribbon-cutting ceremony drew hundreds of residents on Saturday morning, February 7, 2026.
Mountain State Merchant Mall, located at 6400 Mac Corkle Avenue, offers vintage items, antiques, and baked goods. Owner Carrie Myers said opening day was very exciting, and she was thrilled the community came out when the doors opened.
"I’m very thankful. And, I’ve had a lot of support from the community and all of our vendors, and especially my family,” Myers said.
Jared Page, president of the St. Albans Area Chamber of Commerce, said the opening helps fill a vacant building while supporting continued growth in Kanawha County.
"The community wants businesses to be developing in our area, throughout the county, not just one localized area. And, people hate to see vacant buildings,” Page said. "And so, this is, as you can see, the excitement here today, a large turnout.”
Mountain State Merchant Mall is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
