It's been more than Six Months (Halfway through our VFW Admin. Year) since these pictures were taken at the swearing-in ceremonies for the Officers of St. Albans VFW Post 6418. Many events and activities have occurred since then. To name a few, recruiting booths at community events began with "Train Day." Then "Fall Festival at Morgan Kitchen" and the "Fall Y'all Festival and
Chili Cook-Off," Three Events on Three Saturdays in a row. Then we were in Nitro at the "Wagging Tails Chili Cook Off on Nov. 8th, 2025. On November 5th, we set up at Veterans Stand Down in Charleston with our "Backpacks4Veterans" program and distributed 50 backpacks filled with personal items to Homeless Veterans. VFW Post 6418 sponsored and coordinated the Annual St. Albans Veterans Parade on November 15th. On July 19th, 2025, VFW Post 6418 held a New and a 'Major Event' at Roadside Park: a Motorcycle Show, a "Veterans Poker Run," Vendors, and Veterans Outreach. Veterans of VFW Post 6418 have participated in the Combined Honor Guard at Numerous Veterans' Funerals. 'Buddy' Poppies at all our events. Collecting donations for veterans in need in the process.
