- All qualified veterans are welcome to join VFW Post 6418, which is an active and vibrant organization. We respectfully ask that everyone do everything in their power to help us recruit more eligible veterans and get involved. Help your VFW Post 6418 reach 100 members by May 1, 2026. This we can do. As of today, Thursday, October 16, 2025, our membership totals Sixty Veterans. A major Recruiting Event is planned for November 8, 2025, in Nitro. Members with suggestions and who wish to schedule a 'Recruiting Event' should not hesitate to contact the Commander at 304.982.1309. We will then schedule our Recruiting and Information Booth. We can set up a table with recruiting information if it's an inside event.
